Dr. Johnnye Lewis | Community-Engaged Scholarship Lecture Award (CERL) 2022

The Annual Community-Engaged Scholarship Lecture Award recognizes exceptional scholarly work that embodies UNM's commitment to community engagement and profoundly and systematically affects the relationship between the university and the larger community in a positive and meaningful way. The 2022 CERL award recipient is Dr. Johnnye Lewis.

Dr. Lewis has actively worked towards creating and nurturing partnerships among multidisciplinary researchers, communities, policy and decision-makers, and clinicians to develop creative and integrative transdisciplinary solutions to environmental contamination problems. During the award ceremony, she will present and answer questions about her work, "Community-Researcher Partnerships Drive Innovative Science to Help Address Decades of Environmental Injustice"
